Great place to take a leisurely drive around the lake. Huge variety of great homes to see. We stopped at the beach on the south end to enjoy the activity.

We had a wonderful walk around Lake Calhoun on Labor Day. The weather was wonderful. So many people were out enjoying the fresh air. We even found a Geocache! Loved that there were separate bike and walk lanes. A great lake to explore.

Nothing is better than starting the weekend with a walk around Lake Calhoun. The path is excellent, and I appreciate that the cyclist have their own lane. I can focus on the conversation and not the bikes 🚲☺️.

The lake offers kayak and canoe rental, as well as areas to launch your own, plus bike rentals. There are nice trails, open spaces and play areas. It's a great place to spend the entire day.

I didn't pay anything. As everyone has mentioned, free to walk, picnic in the lawn etc. I didn't pay for my street parking.

I believe there are kayaks at Lake Calhoun. You can check the Minneapolis Park aboard site for the fee structure but I recall seeing them there.
