Surprising!

I was not prepared to see the quality and quantity of work inside of this gorgeous museum. Is certainly one of the best art spaces in the country.

Having been so many times to the Met in NYC, I did not expect that level of museum in the Cities. I was SO wrong! Smaller in size but it was absolute perfection. It fed my soul, is sleek, peaceful, an absolute delight. Fewer people in the galleries as well, which helped me to absorb each piece. Stunning views of... More

We got there a little late since it is so huge a place! We loved every room we went through but most of all I was drawn to the 1950's era area; kitchen, home appliances, and items from that era. Also, when you go -- try not to miss the "dog Tag" exhibit which is larger than life. An exhibit... More

As a lover of art museums, this was a great experience. Admission is free unless you want to go into the special exhibit. You definitely need multiple hours here if you intend to do more than a quick look through. Definitely grab a map when you walk in, or you'll get lost like I did!

Beautiful place to relax. A great place to relax and witness beautiful art. We were not sure if the kids would appreciate it, but they loved it. We will visit again when we are in Minneapolis. Thanks.

We came to see the Martin Luther exhibit. Very interesting and worth the trip. Be prepared to spend a few hours inside the whole museum, it's very cool and there is a lot to see.

Use the audio tour. Gets crowded and hard to hear but very interesting and so worth it. Not able to see all this in one place every again.

Next year is the 500th anniversary of Luther nailing his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. The MIA is featuring an exhibit on these historic events that is pretty good!

Exhibit worth your visit.. we enjoyed our walk through. There were many people and the crowd was managed gently and with a smile. Parking was accessible. Information that was sent to us ahead of time was useful.

Every time we visit a new exhibit we are always pleased with the activities available. My wife and our teenage children love to try and find new items, as well as one of my favorites by Jean Leon Gerome the Carpet Merchant Painting 1887. Two areas to snack, coffee or have lunch. Handicapped access to all floors. Covered parking. Free... More
