I just visited the Minneopa State Park falls area and it was a lovely time. We spent only about an hour there but it was perfect. You start by crossing a budge over the river with views of the smaller top portions of the falls....More

The waterfall side of the park is great! It's kind of small and you can get to the spectacular waterfall in less than 30 minutes. Lots of rocks to climb around/on along the way. The waterfall is superb! The buffalo drive side wasn't very exciting...More

Went to park for little over an hour in May as part of a trip. First, the waterfall was very scenic and the water was roaring when there. Great viewpoint on waterfall. Then tried to do the confluence trail but the last piece of trail...More

The best part of the park is Minneopa Falls. The bridge and shelter bldg. were built by the WPA during the depression. It is a beautiful falls. don't miss it.

Beautiful double waterfall. I'm surprised we never made the effort to go here before. Will definitely go back to explore more. So close to downtown.

What a beautiful park and treasure near Mankato. The falls were flowing and were so beautiful. Drove over to see the buffalo which were majestic and just roaming around. Definitely worth the $5 to see nature in all of its glory.

While we didn't get to spend a lot of time at this park, It's important to note that it is somewhat handicap accessible. Easy to get to the falls from the parking area. And inexpensive entry. 5.00 per vehicle to park.

Wanted to get outdoors on an unexpected warm spring day. This area has unpaved walking trails with views of the river from bluffs and Bison if they are not hiding. Trail is not always smooth. There are occasional rocks jutting up out of the ground....More

Love the Buffalo park! So neat to drive through and camp next too. The hiking around the falls is adventure at its best.

If you want to get close to the main falls, you will need to go down (and then back up) some fairly steep steps, across a bridge, and on a short path. This takes very little time and is easy, but anyone with significant... More
