This is a really pretty view of the lake. There are a couple flights of stairs to hike down to the platform but it was not too hard.

You can stop here while driving through the park and then hike down a fairly steep wooden stairway, in several stages, to near the water where there is a beautiful view of the lake. The view of the lake is great. You can put yourself in the moccasins of the early peoples and pioneers here. I'd love to take a canoe there!

This is a stop along the main drive around Lake Itasca with a great view from a viewing platform. There are multiple steps to get to the overlook and you are rewarded with a great view.

OH MY GOODNESS! What a view! You must make the trek down the stairs to see it! There is a trail that connects to the preacher's grove and then continues, or you can just do a one stop from the road.

Small but serene place to go and relax and contemplate your life. Trees are amazing. Ground is soft from fallen needles.
