Take a moment to stop and walk down to the view of Lake Itasca. The Red Pines are huge, the forest floor is flat and quiet, lush and green. Always a stop for me when I go to this park.

Be sure to pull over and take a walk into this peaceful grove of Red Pine trees. On the day we visited, the sun shined through the trees at just the right angle; at that point I knew why the group of preachers had stopped...More

Our friends were married here this fall and it was a beautiful location for a wedding when the leaves are turning.

This is a nice little stop on the main drive around Lake Itasca. It is a path that takes you through a grove of soaring Red Pines that overlooks the lake.

This is a place of soaring pines, wind whispering through the trees, stunning lake views and an infectious sort of silence. When visiting the lake, you should not miss it. It will recharge your batteries after the hectic nature of the Headwaters area, or the...More

I was here to attend a wedding. It is a beautiful place for a wedding. There is a parking lot right across the road. It might not be good for a very large wedding, but for one of less than 100 guests.

If you want to see old growth trees, this is the perfect spot. We ate lunch here and really enjoyed it. Noticed there is also a great bike path that goes right through this area.
