Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took a loooong walk through this nature preserve and did enjoy the sunshine and the freshly fallen snow.

WE have visited when there are programs in the Nature Center building and they are always good. But the trails and walks are wonderful. For old and young alike, there is always something beautiful to discover any time of the year. The level trails, the gorges and stream, the deer you occasionally see, the swampy area, the children's area, the summer camps... This is so manageable. I love that there are no commercial playground equipment here that I have seen. This is a nature center. This is a place to look around, discover, appreciate, enjoy the quiet, hear the birds, and notice the changes of seasons. Thank you for offering such beauty to the community and surrounding areas.

I continue to be amazed of the beauties of nature and how it changes season to season. River Bend Nature Center has been a great place for me to rediscover that. Trails are kept up well for walking/running. Names and routes of trails are confusing for those new to River Bend, but most trails loop back eventually. The park is free for visitors, but it is a nonprofit and appreciates donations. RBNC hosts events periodically; check website for details.

It was raining, so we didn't get to enjoy the trails. The Nature Center looked like the perfect place for the summer day camp in process! Would love to go back next time we are in Faribault.

River Bend Nature Center is a wonderful place to stretch the legs, get out on the trials with your family, see the river flow, & soon ... smell the spring flowers! We are members of RBNC and have been for a few years. Our son had his 10 year old birthday party in the RBNC building & his friends loved petting the animals, critters, reptiles, & tarantula. I have also been a chaperone on his 3rd grade field trip there ... another great experience.

Plenty of signs of Spring here. We enjoyed Chorus Frogs singing in the pools, various birds, waterfowl and song birds, and hiked various terrain, from prairie, marsh, sheltered river bottoms, and had a good time.

I was visiting the local area and wanted to go XC skiing. This is a lovely place to XC ski. The trails are well groomed and the scenery is lovely. I was able to rent equipment for $10! The trails are easy for a novice skier. The center has prairie and forest skiing.

We went on a cold winter morning. Honestly, I expected more animals. But they have a good variety of stuffed critters and a few live ones too. Things included cockroaches, turtle, fox, etc. I liked sitting in the very worn chair looking out the window at the birds. We seen red bellied woodpecker, hairy woodpecker, cardinals, nuthatch, etc. It was just the two of us during our time there so that was nice.

River Bend is great any time of the year. I have snowshoed in the winter, bird watched in the spring, walked the dog in the summer, and brought grandkids to fall festivities There are short paths and long paths. Also a nice family friendly small indoor learning center.
