Was windy and we got to see some large waves coming in. The sand is great. May be a little hard to walk through for some people.

We made a quick detour to park point on our way north towards Two Harbors. I am really jealous of the people who are able to live in this area during the warm weather. Sandy beaches on one side of the road and small rock...More

It is beautiful. Sea grass and sand dunes and quiet. There is a changing area if needed. Lots of parking. There is a trail through the woods to a quiet section of beach. It's a great place to look for drift wood and enjoy nature.

Been traveling in the area for a few days and this was the first beach we have found that wasn't all rock. Nice sandy beach that our dog loved.

Loved walking barefoot in the sand. View of Duluth was great. Loved watching the barges. Easy to drive to.

Duluth's Park Point beach is stunningly beautiful. Miles of sandy beach and the cold, crystal clear water of Lake Superior. I prefer it to swimming in the ocean. It leaves you feeling fresh and clean, not coated with salt! Don't swim when the Lake is...More

To get up close you will need tickets. Check the festival website. This is a HUGE event in Duluth, so be prepared to stand on line for many things. Where the ships are, there is very little shade, so you might consider... More
