I've always wanted to try the haunted tour on the S.S. William Irvin ship, but couldn't get anyone to go with me. Now I know why. I finally convinced by sister to go. We were terrified the entire 45 minutes! It was very well done - almost too well done! I highly recommend it if you're in to haunted houses,... More

Take the time and explore this great boat. We had a great docent who took us through the whole boat and explained the operations and daily living. What a kitchen! What lodgings - cozy is the right word. It is well worth it to see how these folks live.

There was a lot about ore ships that I did not know about, and this tour was very informational! Our tour guide was an older gentleman and he was great. You get to see a lot of the ship.. How things were ran back then, how they lived, etc. I'd recommend giving it a shot and taking a tour, but... More

If you are fascinated by scary tours this is the place to go. Took the tour today with my husband. I was screaming within the first minute of this tour. Death grip on the husband the rest of the time. Who ever is responsible for putting all this together did a fabulous job and I will NEVER do this tour... More

Took our two boys, 14 and 10, and this was just perfect for them-- nice amount of scares, jumps and screams. We must have been in there for 25 min finding our way around in the dark, tight spots. Strobe lights, spinning bridge, a lot of fun. It was somewhat similar to the Haunted boat we had went on in... More

By far the best haunted experience in MN. The actors were amazing and authentic. Very well organized and creatively done. The teenagers loved it and the 10 year old as well. Great job!

We visited the SS William A Irvin during the month of July. We had an excellent tour guide showing and explaining every compartment. The captain's quarters were extremely plush for its guests on board. I've been on similar large ships but am always impressed with their largeness. Docked in the harbor we had an excellent view of Superior Lake. This... More

We brought a couple teenage boys to the haunted ship at this location. Obviously it's seasonal. After we got thru first part of the ship, we were unsatisfied. After going thru the back of the ship, we had a great time. We were spooked and enjoyed the day trip to check out the haunted ship.

This boat was a "flag ship" for the company and was outfitted with beautiful rooms for guests. The guide was knowledgeable about sailing on the lakes and the life.
