We were on a tour from a cruise in Olden and did the hike in about 2 hours. The elevation is about 500 feet over a mile and half, steady and on a wide, clear path. There is a great view of the lush valley and a bit farther is the unobstructed view of the glacier. There are great photo... More

Absolutely amazing place. The hike had some good views and wasn't too hard to complete although there is a little trolley that can take you up there if you'd like. We went in September and it was isolated and no one was up there aside from us. The glacier was hauntingly beautiful. It's worth the stop.

We had spent this morning at the popular Briksdalsbreen. But 10 minutes down the road at Aberg is the start of the hike to another glacial spur: Brenndalsbreen. Allow 3 hours for the full hike. There is car parking which costs 50 NOK but there was not a useful map to give you details of the walk so we just... More
