This is a must stop if you have never been. Stunning views from the top. Narrow paved road to top, limited parking at top - I imagine on busy days this could get interesting. We walked around on the rocks a bit but stayed well...More

This is a hidden gem. I've been 100's of times. Fun hiking if you want to put forth the effort. Mom's and Dad's with smaller kids and pets off leash will be nervous. No guard rails, it makes it much nicer and it would be...More

We drove the road up to Palisade Head and the view at the end was amazing! We enjoyed watching the lake and the rock climbers scaling the cliffs alongside where we were sitting. Definitely worth a stop! Watch for crazy drivers on the road though,...More

Beautiful scenic overlook of Lake Superior. Great view of Shovel Point too!! 1 way paved road up. Worth the stop along the lake for the view!

we stopped here on a whim - glad we did - great views - many places to wander and get a new perspective. high cliffs with drop offs for those with small children.

The view here is gorgeous. I'm glad we were there when it wasn't crowded because it might be tricky getting down the road with a large vehicle when others are going the other direction.

I recently went to Palisade Head with a few of my friends and their small kids. The view is spectacular!! I would suggest keeping a close eye on kids that can walk as there are no fences to keep you from going over the edge....More

You could easily miss the Palisade Head turnoff sign to drive to near the top if not careful. If you come from the south on highway 61, two or three miles after passing through Silver Bay (which is 3-4 miles north of Beaver Bay) it...More
