This beach has a wonderful dog park, nice trails, and a beautiful beach. There is a lovely picnic area, and a camping area for boy scouts. I like to take my dogs to the beach. Labs love to fetch and swim, and this beach is fabulous for them!

Our first trip to the dog beach. The place is beautiful but the flies were out in droves. The dog had a wonderful time frolicking through the waves. The walk to the beach is fairy short and easy to walk but there are steps down to the beach. The beach was clean and well posted.

The park is well cared for. Both the people beach and dog beach areas are clean. Nice hike over the dunes and through the woods too.

We took our dog to the dog beach and had the best time! Our dog loved the water, and we loved how long the beach was. It was a 2.5 hour drive and cost us $7 to get it but it was totally worth it! The beach was clean, and we loved that there were signs leading to the beach... More

This was a great dog park for our family and dog. It was very clean, LOTS of other friendly dogs, nice beach. Some dogs were on leash, others ran freely. The walk to the beach was quite a ways, but it's all in the woods and very shaded. We were worried about other dogs being mean or about irresponsible owners,... More

.25 mile walk to beach, with 44 steps to the beach. Beach was big enough, about 75 - 100 yards long. Plenty of bags along the way & it was clean the entire path & on beach. Bring bug spray for walk in & flies on the beach. Can grill out at parking lot.

Our golden retriever absolutely loved this beach. This was definitely a beach that both our sweet dog and children thoroughly enjoyed. The beach was clean, though the water was a bit rough and keep in mind there is a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the beach.

Stopped here with our greyhound on a Monday afternoon instead of visiting the local dog park. Parking was $5 for county residents and $7 for others. Parking was more than adequate, but I could see it maybe being busy on a weekend in the summer. From the parking lot, it's a short walk (0.5 mile?) over the dunes to the... More

We took our two dogs to the dog beach part of Kirk park on a nice Saturday morning. We got there around 1030 and there were a handful of other dogs on the beach, all very well behaved. You have to walk through the woods and down some stairs to get to the beachfront from the car park and the... More

Beautiful vista's and well maintained trail system over the dune and looking out at Lake Michigan. Great place to take the dog because there is a specific dog beach.
