This is a quaint beach, with beautiful, calm waters. Away from the busy-ness of traverse. We love it for relaxing and so our son can swim easily on his own.

After driving out to the Lighthouse, I decided to swing by Old Mission to see what it was about. Not much, I found but we did stumble on this quiet beach. There were a sizable number of families relaxing, etc., on the beach but it...More

Lovely spot for a picnic or just sit and soak in the sunshine. Great place for kids to run and splash with nice sandy beach. Could spend all afternoon here.

I really like going Haserot Beach with friends or family. The drive (about 15 minutes from Traverse City) is beautiful. It is an easy drive and as you approach the beach there is not a lot of parking so plan on arriving early. This beach...More

Quiet sandy beach on East Grand Traverse Bay, well known to locals but generally tourist-free. On a quiet bay, sheltered from winds and waves, with buoyed swimming area, sandy bottom. Picnic tables, grills, toilets. Great for a family picnic or unwinding after an afternoon of...More

A 15 minute drive north of Traverse city on 37. A very clear, sandy beach with plenty of parking. Not busy on a Friday afternoon. The restroom was OK but smelled HORRIBLE. No Fee. Would go back next time we are in the area.

The drive alone was very scenic to get to the beach. The beach itself was very nice. I liked the size of it. The water was so clear and pretty. I would definitely go back.
