Left Foot Charley is a winery like no other. In lieu of the single estate model, LFC is a collection of grape and apple growers located throughout Northern Michigan dedicated to growing fruit for our wine and cider. Located in the urban setting of the former Traverse City State Hospital campus known as The Village, LFC creates an array of balanced white wine, red wine, and hard cider. Every bottle tells the story of the farm, the vintage and the winemaker's dream of sharing it all with you.

Left Foot Charley Winery is tucked back in the former Traverse City State Hospital. First, it is great to see what became of the magnificent old hospital - rather than it just being torn down. Charley presents an array of solid blend wines and ciders....More

We love stopping here when we arrive in T.C. The Commons in general is fun because it is off of the beaten path. The wines and ciders are delicious. You must try the the Cinnamon Girl!!

Two of our party did a wine tasting, and two of us selected ciders. Both the Cinnamon Girl and the Cunning Ham were excellent.

After our historical tour at Village at Grand Traverse, we walked across the street to taste some wine. The wine was good and the staff was enjoyable to be around. The staff obviously enjoyed working there and helped sell the wine.

The ambiance was very nice and the service personnel also quite friendly. We decided to try a flight to get a feel for the wines but frankly we could not find a wine which tasted good enough to purchase a full glass.

The location is nice... the first winery on your way into Traverse City. Wine is good. Signs for flights of wine were deceiving. Ok. That's it.

We went here after a dinner at Stella's. The bartender was super friendly and the cider beer I tried were all great. My favorite was Classic Hard Cider and Cinnamon Girl. To remember our time here we bought a poster!

Left Food Charley is my go-to spot for amazing hard cider! The cinnamon girl cider they make can be found throughout Traverse City and has recently started showing up in stores around metro-Detroit. If I could only pick one type of alcoholic beverage to drink...More

Do you serve dinner or just wine and cheese parings ?

While there's food, this is more like a brew pub than a restaurant. Limited menu but a very helpful staff who will point you in the right direction for pairing ciders with what they have in their menu.
