Description:

A day of adventure awaits at the National Forest Adventure Farm, whatever...

A day of adventure awaits at the National Forest Adventure Farm, whatever the weather. You can meet and feed the animals, explore the outdoor Funfield and have fun in the huge indoor play area.

Meet a host of farm animals including pigs, sheep, cows and goats. In the spring and summer you can also bottle feed our lambs. You can cuddle a rabbit or guinea pig and see our more unusual animals such as alpaca, reindeer and chipmunks. We also have daily animal activities including pony grooming, milking demonstrations and egg collecting.

The huge Funfield features a range of have a go activities including Go-Karts, assault course, mini golf, jumping pillow and in the summer the Water Splash Out. Why not take a tractor and trailer ride around the farm and look out for the scarecrows?

The 3000m² indoor playbarn features a huge soft play area with demon drop slides. There's an under 5's area with a ball pit and giant Lego construction zone.

Enjoy eating out or picnicking at one of our landscaped areas on sunny days, or in our airy 120-seat restaurant.

In the summer, the Farm is home to a huge 10 acre maize maze. So take on the challenge of 3 miles of pathways, bridges and viewing towers.

Lots of animals, things for the children to do and special events. We went for the potatoe picking in September and had a great time digging up the potatoes, riding on the tractor trailer, bouncing outside and burning energy on the soft play. A lovely farm to visit.

Visited with our 2 & 5 year old on a cold, rainy, miserable January day! Despite the weather the Farm was great... we played outside on the numerous things such as crazy golf, park assault course, go karts, took a ride on the barrel & tractor, walked the ample size farm & barn looking at animals, followed by 2 hours... Stuart, pleased to hear we managed to cheer up your wet, miserable day yesterday. It sounds as if your family really made the most of their visit - always nice to hear. Also good to know you had lovely meals in the restaurant. The pies are a big hit with the staff! We will look forward to seeing you again... More

Visit occasionally and have noticed a decline in the cleanliness. Saw food on the floor in several places, chewing gum (yuck !) on the floor and a general grimy feel to the place. Staff seemed to be pre occupied with zealously enforcing petty rules ( overheard one of them telling a child to not run ! ) rather than keeping... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for the farm on TripAdvisor. I was a little puzzled by your review, however, as I understand you are a member of the farm and are a frequent visitor? The farm gets a very thorough clean every morning and we do try to keep on top of any spillages etc... More

This place is great we have been a few times with our daughter in the rain and in the sunshine, summer and winter it's a brilliant day out. Our daughter loves the tractor ride to find the scarecrows hidden around the farm fields. If it's raining there is the big animal barn and huge soft play area indoors. This visit... More

Amy, Thank you for posting a wonderful review for the farm on Tripadvisor. And you come to the farm so often, it might really be worth your while to think about becoming members, if you are not already. i'm sorry if we have not always got the food quite right for you in the past, but we would love to... Another brilliant day at the farm. Got a 2 for 1 deal which made it excellent value. Kids loved the tractor and barrel rides, fun in the sand digging for dinosaurs (if a little frozen!), free crazy golf and great outdoor play areas. Staff are amazing, very friendly and everyone was very happy to answer the million questions my kids... More

Hi, Great to hear you had another enjoyable day at the farm. Our 2017 maize maze won't be on a dinosaur theme, but we do intend to have a few "dinosaur days", early summer and perhaps November, so watch out for those on the website. We look forward to seeing you again soon. kind regards, Cathy More

Had lovely time out today. Never visited before so wasn't sure what to expect. Lots to do, indoor play was good. Animals a little rubbish in comparison to some farm parks but all the play areas were great.

Tori, Thank you for paying us a visit. We're pleased you had a good time here and will look forward to seeing you again. We try to have a few representatives (including some rare breeds) of all the main farm animals, plus a series of animal demonstrations throughout the day. However, we do like our animals to have an adequate... More

A fabulous place to visit, as an x teacher I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into establishing the farm as an educational visit venue

We went with two other families and really enjoyed ourselves, the kids ranged from 2 - 8 and all were happy. The kids were entertained by everything on offer and a real variety - animal, frisbees, tractor and barrel rides and lots of sand and bouncing. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good quality and great value.... More

We visited today for the Christmas season and to see Santa. We've been here every christmas since 2010 and I have to say we were quite disappointed with it today. We visited at halloween too this year and that was really good-the decorations were amazing and atmosphere created by the extra outside stalls really finished it off. The play area... More

I'm really sorry that we did not get the Christmas Experience quite right for you this year. The reindeer talk was held on Sunday as per the timetable of events. Very, very disappointed. If it was not enough to pay nearly £60 to bring the family and the extortionate charge of 10.95 for a 4 year old, we were then expected to pay for almost every activity once inside. Craft tables charged 1.50 when most of the materials had been used up, pound coins for car ride, mechanical digger, crazy... More

Dear Navyman, thank you for taking the time to review the farm on TripAdvisor. I'm concerned that you felt your visit was expensive. Just to clarify, the entry fee is £10.95 per person for all the farm activities and the vast majority of the Christmas ones too. Your family can watch the Christmas shows, get involved in elf training and... More
