We stayed at the campground for a couple nights mid week in July. The campsites are available first come first serve (no reservations) so we were very lucky to come across the last lake side campsite when we arrived around noon on a Wednesday. As...More

We hit nearly every beach in PRNP. We spent several hours playing in the sand, looking through rocks and walking on this beautiful beach! We loved all the beaches. If your reading this and trying to decide whether or not to visit Pictured rocks NP,...More

Twelve Mile Beach has a very nice campground, which of course you must pay to use but would be well worth the price. The campground features 36 sites on a high sandy plateau above the beach and Lake Superior. There are three sets of stairs to...More

This is a long beach with a mix of bright sand and an assortment of pebbles. The parking lot is right off the main road, and there is a short walk down some stairs to the beach. Great place for skipping rocks off of the...More

We've visited 12 mile beach multiple times and we've camped here twice, most recently this past week. The beach itself is isolated and unspoiled with lots of sand and cool Lake Superior rocks. Stable flies can be an issue in late June and July when...More

Hi, we did not camp. My suggestion would be to call Pictured Rocks Nat'l Lakeshore ranger station. Try Au Sable Ranger Station. Have Fun!
