Rotary park is a short distance from the locks and offers a view of the ships in motion at a close distance. it is a well kept park on the banks of the St Mary's river. The ships are close enough to be seen well. Some of them may salute you with their steam whistle. An excellent hamburger joint is... More

Gorgeous park with small information build and 2 story view area, we spent a few hours in the park visiting and watching the ships go by. Being so close makes it a very impressing thing to watch as these very large cargo ships pass thru.

Rotary Park is a place where you can view the big freighters as they pass through on their way to the Soo Locks. During the year you will see wildlife abound. Following the trail that circles the park there is information at various spots that tell about the area. If you're lucky enough you might even spot a moose as... More

Rotary park is great for a walk, picnic, fishing, or sitting by the water. It is also a good place to just sit by the water.

But looked like a terrific place to take the kids for a picnic and play. Terrific view of the water as have been many parks on our way around the Great Lakes of Michigan.

Whenever we go to The Soo, we visit Rotary Park to watch freighters and boats go by. We usually will pick up burgers from Clyde's (right next door) or from West a Pier. Lots of picnic tables and benches available. Ports potty near. If you take food, you may want to take a table cloth, as there are quite a... More

I live within walking distance of Rotary Park. It is my favorite place in the Soo! My autistic son and I love to come here for the natural enrichment! It is also dog-friendly, as long as they are leashed. There is the best drive-in restaurant (Clydes) right there, as well as a golf course, kayak/canoe launch, kids' fishing pond, swimming... More

This is a small but pleasant park with trees for shade, picnic tables, swings and slide for kids. Kids fishing spot also adults can fish off the bank. The freighters go by real close and the Sugar Island ferry goes back and forth regularly. The park is a small island so water all around. Grab some food at Clyde's and... More

This park sits on a little piece of land that juts out along the St. Mary's river. It's a very cool spot to sit and watch the freighters pass by right in front of you, unfortunately we had to quickly get back in the car because the bugs were so bad, and the picnic tables were covered in seagull poop....
