I caught this site in perfect fall colors in October 2015. There are nice trails around the upper and lower falls. This is one of the highlights of the Upper Peninsula. It's a very popular site so be prepared for traffic and crowds; it's worth...More

We have been there in the summer, but never the winter. We snowshoed back to the falls. Pleasant, beautiful. Peaceful. No crowds when we were there. We went to the upper falls.

On our way back from Whitefish Point and decided to check out the Falls. It was a bit rainy out, but nice and cool. The easy walk to the upper falls was less than 1/2 mile. I didn't want to walk the 94 steps down...More

We have always loved the UP, especially in winter! The Upper falls are easy to get to. There’s a brewery that stays open in the winter (although it is closed Christmas Eve and Christmas) so the driveway is plowed. It’s a short walk to the...More

This was my third visit to the falls and they still amaze me. My SO and I brought our 7-month-old along with no problem. He either enjoyed the views or napped in the baby carrier. The weather was great but it had recently rained quite...More

We got here at a perfect time for seeing fall colors, and a great backdrop for the falls. It's a short hike back into the falls and we found the upper falls the most spectacular. The trails are paved and safe. The amazing thing for...More

It is as beautiful as the pictures you see on line. There are trails and lots of stairs but so worth it. It's just something you can't come the the UP and not see!! There are bathrooms, gift shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking.

We stopped at the Lower and Upper Falls and either one is definitely a great stop. You can see the Lower Falls after very short walk from the parking lot past a gift shop, small restaurant and restrooms. We did not walk all the way...More

My wife and I stumbled upon these falls in our last little adventure into the UP. Incredible! Breathtaking! Phenomenal! They are gorgeous. They are set back in the woods approximately 1/2 mile, but it is well worth the hike to see the falls! We'll be...More

We were there last week and had very little color. It looked like it was just starting to change. I would say this week is the start of color in UP.

Yes they have a paved walk way and there was a wheel chair available when we were there. There are a lot of steps on the upper falls to make it all the way down to see the falls close up but you can even see them from the... More

Partial, yes. You can take the wheelchair along the upper paths but down the stair cases it's not possible. It's still a great visual impact even from the upper paths on both sides.
