Tucked below Northville's Historic downtown, and buffered by Johnson Creek, this well preserved grouping of restored Victorian homes & businesses is a step back in time. The buildings are only opened for limited times, but a quick stroll through the Village is always enchanting. A nearby ball field & playground allow for a true family day.

A wonderful step back into a quieter less hurried time. We've been there for civil war re-enactors to turn of the century baseball.

A very short walking area among buildings from the past. If you catch the right time of the year, you can got inside the buildings and they may have hosts to tell stories of the past times.

Been Geo caching and last visit was for daughters pictures. Great buildings, and neat History. Fall colors are spectacular. Make sure to head all the way to the back for a nice view of the lake and waterfall.

I came here with my family - it's such a charming historical village. Very cute and tucked away, with well labeled buildings and nice grounds. There's a playground right next to it, so this would be a great place to bring a picnic and hang out with the family for an afternoon.

My son and my new daughter-in-law were married in the chapel at Mill Race Village. What a wonderful setting for such an event. Many photos were taken of the bridal party throughout the village.

We spent an hour exploring the village on Sunday. There are docents in each of the buildings on Sunday afternoons in the summer. It was interesting to learn the history of the buildings and the area. It is free to visit-donations are also accepted.

If you like Greenfield Village you should visit the Historical Village in Northville. It is smaller, but very beautiful and holds the same historic charm. I lived in Northville for 2 years before I knew it was there so it is a bit of a hidden gem.
