I've been visiting Fernwood for years. I actually just let my "pet" turtle loose in one of their ponds. It's a great place for a relaxing walk or a light lunch. Keep an eye out for Chompy at the pond!

A lovely place to spend an afternoon in nature! What you see varies greatly according to the season. The train garden is a special treat when it is operational.

Beautiful in all seasons. Explore the many trails in the tranquil setting. Spy numerous wildlife. Spring and summer bring lovely flowers, fall foliage is amazing and Christmas at Fernwood is always a treat. Great gift shop, too!

Fernwood is a very kid friendly place. You can take hikes on trails and observe wildlife. You can also take a board walk out onto a stand to look into the Saint Joe River. They also have summer camps during the summers.
