The LST are war ships built to be piloted at high speed, deliberately grounding them onto a beach, offloading, and then floating away once the heavy load is off. They carried troops, tanks, jeeps and other assault and support vehicles. LST 393, one of only...More

My 11 year-old son & I spent almost 2 hours on this ship. It's well done with materials not just from WW2 but other wars too. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend if you are in the area. It's self guided tour of the LST itself and the veterans memorial on the ship is very informational and moving. Thank you to all who have served our country!

Enjoy a tour set at your own pace. Lots of memorabilia on board. Allow about an hour and a half to tour the entire ship. You need to be able to climb ladders to really enjoy the tour.
