After a long day of volcano boarding, I was searching for a massage in Leon. I sent Sonia of Seeing Hands Massage a Whatsapp message about an appointment and while I was disappointed to hear that she does not have a shop at the moment, oli was pleased by her generous offer to travel to where I was staying. I was so glad she did because the massage was fantastic!! Just what the doctor ordered after a day of sliding down the side of Cerro Negro. Pressure was great, Sonia was easy to communicate with (despite my limited spanish) and the massage was the perfect combination of western techniques with Nicaraguan twists. Price was very reasonable - about $20USD for an hour. Would highly recommend!

This is a really good cause, it's not a glam spa treatment but it was a great massage. Roberto worked tough in places where I had knots. I had 30 Minutes and was perfect. Don't go expecting a pristine treatment room and crisp white sheets as you will be disappointed - this is a working progress.

This isn't a swanky spa-like experience but if you're looking for an excellent-quality massage, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. I admit I was a little skeptical walking by this place but given their inexpensive rates ($15/hour, with shorter/cheaper options starting at $5 for a 15-minute back/neck massage), I decided to give it a try. I received a massage from a sight-impaired gentleman - it was one of the best massages I've received. (I normally only get massages from registered massage therapists back home and this gentleman could have given them a run for their money). He was adept at identifying knots, working them out, and applying the right pressure. It was a perfect way to beat the sweltering Leon midday sun and the heft of my daypack. I was also able to make a same-day reservation to make sure it could fit into my busy schedule. My only complaint is that it was warm in the room even in spite of the fan (but I've been feeling this way in my time in Nicaragua). You can also hear the street noise which I didn't mind but could be distracting to some.
