A plethora of art from around the world, and also Central America. It was divided into rooms and corridors following the original structure of the house. I enjoyed all the Central American pieces , that is what i went to see. This Gallery cannot be missed, and its only $3 entry.

We entered the gallery and were told that there was one room that side of the road but 5 on the other side. What they didn't say was that each room has several side rooms. The collection is enormous and sadly had to gallop around all too quickly. You need 2-3 hours to have a proper look at everything. Mostly Latin American artists, but a few others too. (Picasso, Chargall, Warhol) The religious art does not do anything for me, but the whole place is set out so well, so quiet and peaceful with a small garden in the middle. The attendants were careful to switch the lights on and off as you entered and left each room - both for economy and conservation of the works. The buildings must have been wonderful houses at some point.…

Located in two large mansions, this museum has a very rich collection of Latin American art. A special room is dedicated to the famous Cuban painter Wifredo Lam. Besides beautiful paintings and statues from many different Latin American countries, they also have some paintings of famous European artists like Chagall, Picasso, Utrillo. Both the venue and the works of art are worth seeing. Definitely the number 1 thing to see in Leon. …
