Stunning! Impressive Collection and Facility

One of the most impressive collections of modern Latin American art we've ever seen anywhere. A beautiful compound and former home of wealthy family

I'll put it down to the fact that I was literally the only visitor so the multiple staff seemingly had nothing better to do than follow me round and behave as though I was an arsonist set on destroying their museum. They ruined what was actually a very pleasant gallery with some great artworks, ancient and modern. Half the gallery... More

The main asset is the building. Or actually, both buildings. Objects are professionally displayed. But there is something funny here. The contemporary art is not very exiting, and the ancient art is of poor quality: fysically and artistically.

Utterly absorbing. The collection of Central and South American art is fascinating. The building is gorgeous. Just a wonderful experience. I have never seen anything like it.

This is a wonderul museum of Latin American art (and some European). Has some colonial infomation, but the true draw here is the representation of the 20th centrury artists from Latin America. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. It is clear they are proud of this musuem, as they should be. Curation of the pieces is decent, but more eplanation... More

Not only are the exhibits fabulous, the exhibitions are around beautiful courtyards. There are also special exhibitions with English translations about the paintings, sculptures and artists.

This museum is an absolute stunner. The space is beautiful and the staff welcoming. The collection is absolutely enormous. They have some pieces from some huge names in 20th century art, but the real draw is the extraordinary collection of Central and South American art that is, quite frankly, in a class of its own. We made so many discoveries... More

It is an institution that acquired the house of an expresident, then acquired other three houses on the neighborhood of different families. The properties are interconected and the work they have done to restore and present to the public is very nice. Houses wall colors, maintainance, renovation, every work done, respecting the original design and architecture of the propierties, is... More

This is one of my favorite all time museums. The simplicity really makes you feel like you are one with the art work. Keep an eye out for their exhibit openings they are a don't miss even in Leon.
