This is a moderately large undercover market that is located across the road from the Cathedral. There are a large number of fruit and vegetable vendors, as well as other vendors of household goods and clothes. There is a food court area as well, with a number of stalls serving local food.…

The market is not that big but with some of good local products. I don’t mean special or unique products, just some vegetables and fruits from local, but you may not seen in elsewhere.

Though this market is not huge it proved to be very interesting for us. It is very clean (as is all of Leon) and has a number of vendors selling mostly vegetables and fruit. We saw some items which we didn't recognize, which turned out to be papayas (they were easily 60 or 70 centimeters tall - over 2 feet tall!). We also saw avocados which were over one foot tall!
