What a nice day we had. First climbing the volcano with wonderfull views and relax and recover at the top. Then you board straight downwards at incredible speed (our speed you want) and down you feel so good and excited you would go up straight...More

It was a nice, comfortable short trek to the top and then a great ride down. The tour company provided all the accessories that we needed to do the slide down the volcano. Took me a bit to figure out how to manage the board...More

I booked my sand-boarding at Cerro Negro with Nica Time. It cost 21 $ for the tour plus 5 $ that you pay at the entrance to the park. For once I felt I found something not overpriced in Central America. The hike up is...More

Climb up the volcano, doesn't take too long, enjoy the sights and listen to a tour guide, slide down on a board and feel the rush. Worth it

I highly recommend the excursion here. You won't regret the breathtaking views, if you can stand the cramped van-ride.

Great to see the volcanoe craters and climb up and see the lava fields etc. Carrying board in extremely strong wind felt very exposed. The boarding is short and overrated. Careful not to leave money in bus at bottom. Guide friendly and informative.

You are going very slow and not worth the visit for the boarding. But if you have a good guide, hé tells you all about the geology of the vulcano and the animals and then it is interesting!!

They must have been going the wrong way. The hike is moderate, the guides take breaks every 15 minutes or so and tell you a little about the surrounding area so that people can catch their breath. It is windy up there and... More

It is a well used trail very safe but some loose rocks. The guides are excellent, stopping frequently to allow everyone to go at a reasonable pace. When you initially get to the top the area that you slide on looks... More

There's a 45 minute hike up the mountain. It's windy and a little slippery at times. If you can handle it then it should be no problem.
