For our family of four, it was a pretty simple walk/hike. Beautiful views! Perhaps more crowded in the summer, but practically empty in November! A great way to experience a ton of beauty without hiking miles and miles!

Our cruise was canceled due to high winds and rough waters, so we had extra time to check out Miners Castle. There are plenty of signs on the way here, so it's easy to get to. It's about 20 minutes away from Pictured Rocks Cruises. The parking lot has plenty of spaces (and it was packed when we went). The... More

We through-hiked 75% of Pictured Rocks and were able to get a different perspective of what you might see from the boat ride. If it wasn't October, you would swear you were in the Caribbean - the water was blue and the "pictured rocks" of Miner's Castle made a great contrast along with the fall colors. Beautiful.

This landmark was easy to find from Munising. About a 15 minute drive. There were two lookout areas - one to view the rock from above, looking down. The other was almost on top of the rock itself. Both views were great but from the rock looking back at the first lookout, one was able to truly see the magnitude... More

This is a nice walk even if you have a few challenges. Take your time, there are places to rest so don't miss out. The scenery is beautiful and is definitely worth the walk.

I have been coming here every year for over 15 years, usually during the color tour. I never get over the sights. If you love nature, come here and give her your undivided attention because you will see everything that she has to offer. This is honestly one of those put your cellphones down and breathe for a while knids... More

A small park with restrooms a gift shop and Rangers to answer questions comes with varied and different views of Miners Castle Rock. If you saw it from the water, you are going to want to see it from the cliff ledges !

Incredible scenery as you walk to the falls. The falls themselves are beautiful. You can be brave and continue down the beaten path to stand on rocks to get a better view and take pictures.

We spent about three hours walking the trails near Miner Castle Rock. Some trails were easy and some were difficulty as far as climbing uphill. We thought it was a great workout but not sure if everyone would feel the same. A one point we turned around because it said 2 mile and we thought we'd walked over 2 miles.... More

It was cold and rainy the day we visited Miner's Castle Rock but it was still an amazing view! Highly recommended to stop and enjoy the scenery here.
