The view of the Annapurna mountain ranges at sunrise is awesome. The golden glow of the rising sun on the snow capped peaks is very beautiful. The Annapurna range can be viewed from all over the Porkhara valley. A view from the lakeside, on the way from Kathmandu to Pokahara, a view from the Swayambhu Stupa - every where that... More

May-June, October-November are the best times for trekking in this region. Did a 7 day trek with my 13 year old teenager and while it was tough for the typical city girl that she is, our guide was careful to calibrate the intensity of the trek to suit her fitness level and was still very attentive to her progress through... We aren't big trekkers but we saw videos of this activity and couldn't resist testing ourselves. It ended up being one of the greatest achievements of our lives. Such an excellent experience. I recommend you do it without a guide or a porter.. follow the map and ask locals if you need information. There are accommodation options every couple of... More

Great views and experience. Basic conditions but the most important is to choose a suitable trekking route comparing with your fitness. Good shoes, clothes - it is a must!

One of the best experience of my life, a trek with through the magnificent and spiritual Annapurna region between mountains, rivers, waterfalls, temples... At the beginning I was a little worried about the difficulty of the trek, especially for my physical conditions. I was injured at a footh, some plantar fasciits, and no training. But once I was there, well... More

Great way to see the Himalayas. The trek was 2 days up and 2 days down at your own pace. Expect the facilitiesto be basic, frugal and you won't be disappointed to see mother nature at it's best.

It was a 10 day hike, 7 days to walk up and 3 days to come down. It wasn't easy but it's do-able. Our guides and porters were good, and patient. We walked among different types of vegetation from tropical to mossy forests, bamboo forests, to more mountainous bush. There were beautiful wildflowers all over. We passed multiple waterfalls, and... More

Trekking to Poon Hill was an amazing experience. With the help of Gandaki we where totally looked after from start to finish. The trek was organised to suit our needs and time frame very quickly and for a great price. Our guide/porter Shree was exceptional. He treated myself and my friend (two 50yr old females) like family. whenever I needed... More

This was amazing. Every kind of scenery you can imagine. My highlight was poon hill as the panoramic views were Unreal. Would highly recommend it. The views and range of scenery and cool weather made it great. Also we experienced a snow storm which was exhilarating. I recommend a guide as you can learn a lot from them and a... More

We did the Annapurna Base Camp trail in September, and what an experience it was. Poon Hill was glorious, but being at base camp with the mountain range views all around you is something completely different.
