Very beautiful mandir of Janaki Devi is at Janakpur. Shri Rama and Sita marriage place is at same place. Mandir also has small museum of small dolls depicting complete story of Ram & Sita.

This place is 1.5 hrs from India border. Place has historical importance. There is a mandap near this temple where Lord Ram was married. This place needs cleanliness. Shopping is there is shopping lover. You can also visit Jaleshwar Nath and Dhanusha

I travel to this place by road from Bihar side Indo Nepal border . The temple is so vibrant and lovely. This is famous for it's mythological connection with Ramayana epic.

Supposed to be the birth place of Mata Sita. the temple is well maintained and also has a museum which is also well built. The temple is very distinct, well architectured, and wide space.

Most renowned pilgrimage site of Nepal. It has unique architecture and style different from other Hindu temple.

The temple is very distinct, well architectured, and wide space. Actual Janaki mandir next to the main building which more attractive. The temple opens at 6 AM but Janaki pooja starts at 8.00 AM.

Yes you can find private bus service to Janakpur from Kathmandu. I am not sure about the bus station at Kathmandu it may be Kantipath bus stop near to passport office.
