The main deity is Dharbareaswar. But the temple is well known as Sanibhagavan temple. This temple is representing one of the Navagirahas namely Saturn. This Particular Sanibhagavan in Karaikal is said to be PONGU Sanibhavan and all his prasadams can be taken home.
