I recently rediscovered Jilbert's Dairy Farm, a local dairy operation in Marquette, Michigan, on a visit to Marquette last month. I first had Jilbert's on a visit to Marquette in 1988, and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to make another stop there--it is...More

During the Marquette parade, a lot of companies were throwing candy and handing out bracelets and other kinds of products with their names and/or slogans on the articles. Well, towards the end of the parade, I was getting a bit more brave to ask for...More

Was really looking forward to seeing the viewing area where they make the ice cream, that is no longer available. They now just have a spot to eat ice cream and buy their products.

We visited twice during our stay in Marquette and they were busy both times. The ice cream was a great treat on a hot day. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. A nice place to stop for a treat.

Recommend you check date on cheese curd package. Employee said the date stamped is production date + 45 days. Today’s bags were stamped August 8, meaning they were made late June. Get your ‘fresh’ curds elsewhere as these are anything but fresh.

On our visit to Jilbert Dairy I had the cherry amarreto Mackinac Island fudge & my boo had the strawberry. The ice cream was creamy and delicious- not the processed stuff most places have. It is also a cute place- perfect for families.
