Downtown Marquette is relatively small running up to the lower harbor and very pleasant. Interesting array of shops and office buildings of modern and older architecture. Be prepared for several steep hills as the downtown is situated well above the shoreline.

We were here for an afternoon showing at the Fresh Coast Film Festival. There were multiple locations involved, well staffed with lots of local information available. Shops along Washington St. were nice to browse with a nice variety and relaxed feeling.

I really liked walking down town Marquette. Lots of places to shop, eat or stop for a beer. Must go to Doncker's. Even President Obama was there a few years ago. We ate at Aubrey's Pizza too which was very good.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well preserved the buildings are in the downtown area. Nothing run down as anticipated. A lively city with good economy present. Local restaurants and shops all in great shape.

I always enjoy strolling the town!!! Reminds me of a step back in time with interesting store fronts and quaint unique shops. There's a Farmers market on Saturday's from summer till early December. Definitely worth a stop!!

A very nice town. Lots of things to do, places to eat and drink. The summer scenery is gorgeous, particularly the view of the lake.
