This has a great view once you make the top. It's a pretty good hike with two paths to choose from. We went up twice so far and took the easier path both times up and the more difficult path down once. The easy path is longer but a nice path with a mix of dirt path and man made... More

if you want an amazing view of the area, Sugarloaf Mountain is a must. It's a quick visit, but beautiful and worth the time to stop by. I was there for colors, but would think this is a great spot in any season.

We hiked to the top to see the view because of all the great reviews here and it was listed ad #1 on the site. Was not prepared for all the stairs we had to climb but i must addmit, the view is good. I also would say its not the best. so if your not up 4 the climb... More

An enjoyable hike for all. Be sure to take your camera and a bottle of water is nice as well. You don't need to be a true hiker to be able to walk up Sugarloaf but some physical capacity is required. Very enjoyable!

Nice place to visit. A bit of a climb/walk but the view is the reward. Take some water and a camera with you

We went the second to last weekend of October. The colors were absolutely perfect. The easy hike isn't that easy...not handicap accessible but easy enough for children and elders. Very beautiful views and fun times!

Challenging, yet possible for a beginner in tennis shoes. The "easy" track was plenty of a challenge for me. A great workout with a beautiful view as the reward at the top. Breathtaking Fall color views of the Marquette area in October. I will climb this every time I visit Marquette from now on.

My husband and I were visiting Marquette and heard of sugarloaf mountain for its gorgeous view. We set out to hike the small mountain. Although it was in the lower 50s it was pretty warm. And with no rain, we could actually do the difficult route of the trail without any problem. I liked how the giant roots of the... More

If you're into the out-of-doors at all, then Sugarloaf is a must when visiting Marquette. Not an extreme hike, but rugged enough to be a bit of a challenge (in a positive fashion). Once you reach the top, there's a great view of the lake and countryside, so make certain to bring a camera. Finally, I've done this hike with... More

I'd take the hard route vs the easy route, if you are able to walk without the use of stairs. There is one point in which stairs are the only way up, and they were not too terrible. The views were amazing on the top, and there is plenty of area for a lunch, if you pack it. Wear comfortable... More
