Any time of year the Big Spring (Kitchi-ti-kipi) at Palms Book State Park is dazzling. It is well worth the 12 mile drive off US 2. I almost don't want to tell people how much I love it for fear it will be over run. I consider this THE highlight of any Upper Peninsula tour. Been there at least 6... More

My family visited Palms Book State Park (Kitch-iti-kipi) this past summer during the month of August. It had a nice picnic area where visitors can relax and have lunch. There is a gift shop as well. The walk was not bad, it took about 5 mins to get to the pond. There was a bit of a line for the... More

If you are ever in the area this is a one of a kind stop. Scenic view of a Spring with an open bottom raft where you can view large trout swimming about. This stream never freezes.

All the reviews are right, it is a spectacular place. I thought it was bigger, but it is very cool. Only 50 feet from the parking lot is a beautiful pond with what looks like a covered pavilion with two gates. You push down on this lever, a bigger lever moves to the left, and viola'!, the pavilion turns into... More

It is a very nice park, it has nice trails and springs that should be visited, it is a great experience in the middle of the waters seeing the fishes swimming.

Not too far off the beaten path and worth the trip. Visit the big springs. Nice clean restrooms and gift shop with snacks.

My family and I happened upon this little hem in the woods. It's a short walk to the natural spring. Be sure to take the floating dock out to the middle of the spring to get the best views of the clear water and the fish swimming around.

This is a must see for the Nature Lover a truly unique example of the Forces of Nature. Very easy to get to with a short walk to the Raft to view the crystal clear water bubbling up 40+ feet below as the huge Trout lazily swim around.

We took the raft across the springs and enjoyed viewing the crystal clear waters, the spring water bubbling up from the floor and the many large trout that swam under the raft. This is a special place that should not be missed if you are in the area.

The park is well maintained, with the mineral springs and the barge ride the main attraction. If you are in the area don't miss it.
