Parked and walked to the lake and we weren't disappointed with the view. We then drove through the rest of the park and enjoyed seeing what was left of the colors. Planning to come back in the summer and possibly camp here.

I have been going to the beach here since the 1970’s, and it hasn’t changed too much - that is a good thing! The park is clean and the campgrounds looked well-kept. We stopped by the camp store and it is the same as I...More

I had seen Ludington State Park was a place to visit, during the summer, but visited there in October. AWESOME! Right next to Lake Michigan. If you want to camp here, during the summer, get your reservation early.

Great view at the light house. Note you need the recreational pass to park your car at the park. If not you can park on the outside of the park along the road. This was the option we took as we had a rental car....More

I really enjoyed the quiet walk to the lighthouse. It was only 1.5 miles, and I was able to take the whole trip in under 2 hours. Beautiful view of the lake, and the lighthouse it absolutely beautiful all on it's own!

Where else can you visit Lake Michigan with sandy beaches, drive up the road and be in the woods. Very impressed.

There are 3 campgrounds tat accommodate all types of campers including pull through. I'd go on the reservations site and fill in your info to see what's available. We saw lots of larger units!

You can rent tubes at Dunegrass Concessions at Hamlin Lake. You walk over to the river and put in just beyond the dam. The time down the river varies. If you have paddles it will go faster than if you don't!! It is a pretty... More

I did not see any tubing. You can rent kayaks. You could probably do this on your own with a drop off and a pick up. Hamlin Lake is worth checking out in Ludington State Park.
