I enjoy walking into the Capital and feeling the awe and hearing the sounds of others also in awe of the beautiful rotund. The kids and adults like it equally. You can feel the serious nature of the work that is done there and the responsibility that comes with the job of governing.

A trip to the capital is worth the time. The original architecture, and maintenance thereof is extraordinary.

We were driving through and stopped to see the state capitol at 4am. It is beautifully lit up and there are a few informational plaques to read out front. Worth a look.

I have been to the capitol many times but have never took the tour. Take the tour, I learned so much, the capitol is beautiful. It is wheelchair accessible, family friendly, I spent at least an hour, I could have spent more time if I could.

Visited here on a Sunday so was quiet. Beautiful building and grounds. The Vietnam Memorial is stunning. Worth a visit if you are in town.

Michiganders should be proud of this work. Hard to find the entry but it is at the lower level on the east side. Very good access to building and... More

We took a field trip to visit the history museum and the Capitol Building. This tour did not disappoint! Our tour guide was charming, loving on some of our little visitors (homeschool families), and knowledgeable of the nuances of the building. The architecture and artwork are incredible. We visited during spring break so there was not political work happening which... More

Free tours are every half hour. This building is a treasure!!! We took a guided tour and loved every minute of it. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. We took home the self guided tour book for additional information. This is a MUST DO tour!!!

Good tour. Came in early on a Saturday, first people there to get a free private tour. Able to take pics and learn about the history behind the building. Definitely would recommend if you are visiting Lansing.
