45 North seems to cater to the younger wine tasting crowd. It has a very modern feel with large beams, metal walls and fairly loud music. This was fine for us but I can see how it might turn off a crowd looking for a quaint wine tasting experience. The wines tasted a little different than most and were not... More

This winery tasting room is one of the worst I have been in the few times I have done the winery tour on the peninsula. The wine there does not compare to most other wineries and there is mass confusion in the tasting area which is very small. I bought wine at every winery I went to with the exception... More

The woman who assisted us responded very defensively when we asked if all the grapes used were grown on the property. She went off on a story about the bad winter and how that made this impossible. We were ok with the reality just curious. Tastes are inexpensive ($1 a piece for most) but are server was not very generous

We were hurried through our tastings here and it was like the record was on 'repeat'... the same canned descriptions to every customer group, like we were on a conveyor belt in a factory. That was ok with us because we didn't plan on lingering with the cacophony of drills and saws in the background doing construction on the main... More

We visited on a Friday afternoon when things were somewhat quiet. The tasting room is attractive and the wines are enjoyable. We interacted with 3 employees, 2 of whom were informative and friendly. There was one middle aged woman who needed an attitude adjustment. It was enough to stop us from buying any bottles and for me to let you... More

I enjoyed the wine here but when we thought about ordering a glass and sticking around for a bit, there were only a few small tables and they were full. It did look like they had a nice deck but it was pouring out.

Our visit to the Leelanau isn't complete without a stop at 45 North Winery. The winery is a pleasant stop for excellent wines and great conversation with the serving staff. The facility is under construction, but that didn't faze us. They are adding a nice outdoor area that will just enhance your experience there. I highly recommend this winery on... More

Staff were knowledgable and friendly. Much better than some of the Traverse City wineries. Allowed us to share tasting (I had one of the pours) since I enjoy reds more than white. Did enjoy a peach wine as a refreshing hot day beverage while checking out the 45th Parallel area. Of course, I loved the dogs hanging out-little one was... More
