The museum has permanent galleries for wildlife art, mostly carvings, many kinds of clocks, and the history of Jackson: The day we visited there were also galleries for sculptures and hammered metal vessels. Admission fee is whatever you care to donate. In the same park are a planetatium, a one-room schoolhouse, a log cabin, and a Victorian mansion.

Enjoyed the museum displays and art. Not a large facility, but high quality. Particularly enjoyed Lego sculptures. Inexpensive, enjoyable way to spend a couple hours.

Built in 1829, the same year that Jackson was founded, the original house and site of the Merriman farm. This is also the site of the Peter Hurst Planetarium.

We have visited the Ella Sharp Museum, but this was our first experience at Ella's Patio Party. Every Thursday evening 5:30-7:30 (from April 21-Sept. 8) live music, drinks, snacks ( a meal, really of hot dogs, chips and cookies) are offered on the Granary Patio. This is free for Museum members and $5.00 for non-members. An opportunity is also available... More

We visited this museum with my 3 year old to see the lego exhibit. They had hands on activities for the children to do which was very neat. It was very clean and educational. This is a cute little museum, Hidden gem!

Always have something interesting going on whether a traveling exhibit, classes or unique finds in the gift shop. Summer on the patio is very nice, too.
