Park is very clean. Great to see families enjoying the great outdoors from bbq, bon fires, bike riding, fishing and swimming. Love just floating at the sand bar.

Park is nearby, so I have never stayed overnight, but the beach is great and they are adding another boat ramp and refurbishing the existing ramp. Very quiet in the fall.

First time at Burt Lake State Park. We booked 5 days and ended up booking more days at the end of the week because we were having so much fun. We camped during the week which was nice, less crowded than the weekends. Restrooms were...More

This state park has the best beach in northern michigan. Water is very clean and shallow for a long way out. I have been going here for 50 years.

Lovely campground with medium sized, sandy sites- most heavily wooded (great in 90 degree heat!), and nice sunny sites along the water. Burt Lake is AMAZING, gorgeous clean water, sandy bottom, shallow for a long ways out, so VERY warm (unlike the Great Lakes in...More

Typical state campground. Park was clean with lots of trees. Beach and lake are great. Sandy bottom, cleat water, excellent swimming. Swim area marked. Can wade out into the water a couple hundred yards before it gets deep.
