We took the 2.5 hour tour, which ended up being more like 3 hours. This was great for me, I enjoyed just floating down the river, making friends with passing kayakers. The staff of the Trading Post were efficient and very nice. I would recommend...More

So happy my brother-in-law from the area told us about this activity. It is a little difficult to figure out the options (tube, kayak, canoe or combination) and logistics (point of entry/exit and parking), but we found the Riverside brochure (I later learned there are...More

Our kayak group paddled this river in early June, before school was out. It was beautiful & clear with a light current---great for relaxing, first time paddlers, or a family. A picnic at the township park is the perfect ending!

The Platte is a clean, easy to navigate river, great for novice kayakers and canoeists. We chose to tube it this year and it was so much fun! They dropped us off by van past Loon Lake and the trip took a little over two...More

I kind of hate to write how fun this is but I guess the words already out. The water is clean, clear, warm and beautiful. So what if there's so many other people floating with you. Here's some logistics. We took our own tubes. I...More
