Beautiful view from the top

Beautiful view of Lame Michigan from the top. Not at all crowded. Many many steps before you reach the beach. If you don't like steps try another beach

We missed a trail I guess and never made it to the top to see the views. No color yet either. Nice rather rigorous climb though.

I enjoy this hiking spot but it does have a lot of steps to climb to get to the trails. There are also a lot of houses around that can be seen from the trail. But it is very pretty and they keep it clean. Not sure if there are outhouses, I haven't seen any. It's a nice short hike... More

A beautiful place to enjoy nature and peace and quiet. I have been here several times for hiking and running. There are a ton of stairs to get the top loop. The loop at the top goes up and down moderately with some additional stair cases. There are picnic tables down by the parking lot and benches along the whole... More

Great little place to get in touch with nature. Quiet and grounded is how you will feel after playing around here.

Took a beautiful walk in the snowy woods in the sanctuary woods second week in February. Now I know why they call sanctuary woods. It was very peaceful and beautiful.

If climbing stairs suits you, this is the place to go. I've never been up them due to a game leg, but I know many who have. The views from the top include Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan along with the forested dunes. My wife has doen it in the past, but even she is getting tired.

We may be preferential since we are located close by. They have some picnic areas around the base, two small streams flow towards Macatawa. The stairs can be daunting, but once at the top it's fairly easy circle. Some different trails head off, one going up the back dune leads to a flat bowl area. Climbing up one of the... More

We found it a little difficult to navigate because there were so many off-shoots and it wasn't easy to know which way to actually go. Never made it to the top to see the views so ended up disappointed.
