Not quite the Himalayas hiding Shangrila, but the hundreds of steps you need to climb over the mountains of sand to reach a magical beach guarantees only a few other visitors will be at this spot. My wife, daughter and I found this tiny sliver...More

This small park at the end of West 142nd Ave is like unwrapping your favorite candy you only get once in awhile and only comes in a small size but is a treasured treat. You park and think, is it worth the park and walk?...More

One of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Michigan, worth a trip any season. We live in Holland, never travel in the summer, it's too wonderful here

The picture in the travel brochure did not do the height of the stairs justice. There are a LOT of steps to climb, but there are places to sit and rest along the way and the beach itself was really nice. It was small and...More

This is not the beach you go to for a quick visit. As the other reviews have stated, it is a workout to get to and fro. And since you'll want to stay for awhile, you'll need to be carrying supplies. We took an umbrella,...More
