Took my 54 yr old husband and 7 yr old grandson..we all had a great time. I have trouble with extensive walking on hard surfaces, yet had very little problems...exhibits considerate of animals, I believe most are rescue...interactive to give little ones more to do...there is a rope "walking bridge" AND a "treetop" walking adventure for the whole family. This zoo is spectacular. It is nestled on the side of a hill. It's almost completely shaded by trees. This kept the park cool and in turn more animals were out and about. The kids loved the bird house that you could do into.

The John Ball Zoo is a well designed moderately sized zoo that is perfect for a warm afternoon with the grandkids (or kids if you're not lucky enough to have grandkids yet). It has well designed exhibits, especially the tiger exhibit in the wooded area on the top of the hill. There is also a petting zoo, a play area,... More

We love John Ball Zoo, and are lucky to be able to visit at least once a year for my company's family picnic. Plan a long half-day visit, longer if you wait to experience the ropes course or ziplines during peak times on the weekend. There is a nice park surrounding the zoo with areas to picnic - pack your... More

A medium size but very interactive zoology park. I went with my 2 grandsons, 8 & 10 years of age and they loved every minute of it. A good size park for a single day visit. Prices are reasonable although there are the fees for extra activities. A very good value for the money. The park was very clean and... More

The John Ball is not the largest zoo by any means, but the value is outstanding! You are able to interact with the animals in a way that not too many other zoos allow. The best attractions are the Tiger Exhibit, the Sting Ray tank (which unfortunately might be down for repairs), and the Kangaroo (I think they are actually... More

Good place to spend the day with family. Friendly staff, lots to see and do. Well worth the price of admission. Save money and get a yearly family pass.

Clean and large family friendly zoo. Something for everyone. The high ropes and zip lining were a big hit with the teens.

It was the day before it was to close for the year. The animal exhibits ere excellent. Some features were shut down for the year like the zip line. I would visit again.
