Fred was amazing! Our group had such a great time! We got to pour our own drinks and learned about hurling. Such a great and welcoming atmosphere.

I cannot gush enough about Fred and this amazing spot! This pub has a special touch to it, unlike any other pub I experienced during my time in Ireland. It has generational history and feels like coming home, and learning about (and even attempting) to participate in some hurling training sessions was the cherry on the sundae. If you're near Malzards during your travels or even if you're far far away, you don't want to miss this very special place. It'll make your Ireland trip sooooo much richer.

This place made our entire trip to Ireland amazing! Truly cannot thank Fred for showing us how to play Hurling and just generally being warm and inviting, to Gary teaching us all how to make drinks and letting us come behind the bar to do so. There were a lot of great sights and experiences but Malzards Pub was the closest thing I can think of to having a true Irish experience.

This was one of the best nights of the trip! Fred was so nice and hospitable! He showed us how to pay hurling and we even had our own little competition. We had half the pub to our group set up by Fred and our tour guide. Fred let us even pour one of our own drinks. Absolute great evening!

I had so much fun at Malzards on my tour through Ireland! Fred was so friendly and welcoming, and he really made our whole tour group feel at home. Gary was the best bartender ever, slinging us shots and pints all evening! We even got to do a little bit of hurling, though I can't say I was a natural at that. It was truly an authentic and enjoyable time at Malzards, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend it to others in Ireland!

Best pub in Ireland! Fred is the man and Gary is a legend! Our tour guide set up an amazing experience for our group to rent half the pub for a couple of hours and try out hurling.

It was the most genuine experience. Don’t miss out on this when you visit Ireland! Honestly, this was one of the best parts of my trip. We got to play a bit of hurling, get great drinks, surrounded by live music and Fred kept the party going. Even got to make my own pint of Guinness!! Happy days.

to teach me the Irish sport of Hurling, but I have a thick skull and I had a wonderful time trying. The food was good. The entertainment was a lot of fun and I even got to pull my own Guinness. I recommend Malzards highly.

This pub is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. Fred was one of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve met in a long time, and if I ever find myself back in Ireland I most definitely will be coming back again

Was part of a tour group that stopped in. The Pub was one of the highlights of my trip. Fred, the owner, was so welcoming. The entertainment was fantastic and the food was very good. The hurling experience was really fun. An all around great experience.
