It is difficult to not love everything about West Michigan, but Point Betsie is one at the top of the list. The sugar sand beach stretching as far as the eye can see in either direction, impossible not to love!

This has been a family favourite spot for sunsets for several decades. Come early, have dinner on the beach, relax while the sun sets. Tips: come early and walk down the beach to avoid crowds. Water shoes are very helpful as it's a rocky beach. Also bring a flashlight to make sure you don't leave anything behind. Popular spot for... More

A scenic beach on lake Michigan, near Frankfort. We enjoyed the sunset. The lighthouse was closed, but provided a nice backdrop. People were picnicking on the beach at sunset.

I have visited the lighthouse man times. It is always a spiritual experience for me, especially off season when you can have quiet on the beach and in the area around the lighthouse. we went to the lighthouse twice for the sunset over Lake Michigan and were not let down.

The beach is great for rock collecting, swimming if you have water shoes, lots of stones. It's my favorite place in Frankfort to be. We stayed one night at the lighthouse in the keepers quarters. It has always been a dream to stay over night in a lighthouse and this did not disappoint. Worth every penny. It is comfortable and... More

I did not tour the lighthouse, but that is an option for $5 you can climb the tower and maybe see Wisconsin on a clear day! The beach is a beautiful collection of rocks and sand, the lighthouse grounds are lovely, the only negative is parking - but that was not even too major of of an issue.

This is a still operating lighthouse on the shores of Lake Michigan. It is near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park so you can visit that while you are here. The lighthouse is well maintained and staffed. Admission is $5 and includes touring the lighthouse and the tower as well as a separate museum. The views are fantastic.

I'm 60 and have been visiting since I was a baby. The trees have grown ever taller but this beautiful lighthouse has remained vigilant and unchanging. Visit when it's open for a nice view, or even just visit the area to hang out with one of the most famous of the Great Lakes lighthouses - certainly one of the most... More

Absolutely beautiful beach. Great place to go for sunsets and hunting petoskeys. The lighthouse is open during season for tours.
