It seemed like a very secluded and private area to enjoy the sound of the waves gently rolling upon the beaches and rocks, watch the sunset, take some pics, or sunbathe. One of the cleanest well kept lighthouses and properties we've been to. The actual...More

We went to the lighthouse on a rainy day and it was beautiful. The dark clouds over the lake, the white water made great pictures. The admission fee is so reasonable for all you get - lighthouse, museum, access to the beach.

Beautiful area and lighthouse. Worth the $5 for a good cause. Leo was very informative. It has restrooms too.

Went looking for the lighthouse and it took awhile to find it. Once we found it, views were terrific and the beach was not crowded.

Beautiful overlook and awesome beach next to lighthouse. We went up in the tower and the view was gorgeous. The grounds are very well maintained and the folks working there have a good grasp of the history of the place and are super friendly!

Peace & Serenity of beautiful Lake Michigan with a private small beach. Pleasant and inviting gift shop. We did not tour the lighthouse, but the outside scenery was beautiful.

Apparently we didn’t read the fine print. You can drive to the parking lot, but cannot get any closer due to fences. In a tourist area at high-season, one would expect it to be open daily.

Looking on the Sleeping Dunes website we decided to visit the lighthouse as it said tours were $2 for adults and $1 for children. Wrong. It’s $5 for adults and $2 for kids. So my oldest and I decided to still do it. She proceeded...More
