Firstly, the staff was very welcoming and provided much information on the area....thank you! The museum was small but interesting and gave a wonderful background of the area. The whole family enjoyed it.

Cost is $2 a person or a dollar for students. If your Miilitary, you get in free. If you pay for this museum, you get to go to another museum on this ticket. They have hands on activities for kids. There are tapes to listen to with stories of the history. Enjoyed the visit.

Sorry, I didn't visit the museum, but wanted to comment about the wonderful staff at the Visitor's Center. Answered all our questions and were very nice- providing us with coupons and all-sorts of worthwhile information. BTW, parking in Free throughout the downtown!! How often do you find that these days? Thanks so much.

After 25 - 30 years of coming to Frankenmuth we decided to tour the Museum. We were very pleasantly surprised. It is a small museum but the 6 or 7 rooms were very professionally laid out. It takes you through the founding of Frankenmuth and on through it's history with more insight and details that what you hear on the... More

We chose to tour the museum with our young children while the rest of our group went to the winery. Boy was that an excellent choice!! $5 admission for a family of 4 is a great value nowadays, and the children actually enjoyed it! We "time-traveled" from the city founding up through modern days. There were a variety of interesting... More

Family enjoyed the stories and pictures of the olden days compared to today. It helps the children learn to put history in better perspective, yet not boring.

I am a history buff and always look forward to finding out the history of places we visit. Every small town has something to tell and Frankenmuth is no exception. From the earliest settlers to today's visitors the history changes and forms the wonderful feel of the Village. Make this a priority place to visit in Michigan. You can spend... More

I've been going to Frankenmuth my whole life, and I never went to this museum. I made a point to stop by on this trip, and I was glad I did! We got in free because we had already paid the $2 admission to the Lager Mill (down past Zehnder's), and the admission to the Historical Museum is included. You... More

Easily accessed on main street. Not too big to get boring but quite educational. Well done for a small local museum. Easily walked through. $2.00 tickets and included another site down the road. Unusual for a touristy area but interesting and good for kids to learn.
