Unfortunately, the conference I was with only ate a meal and used a meeting room, but in the quick run I made through a few galleries, the exhibitions looked terrific. The overall architecture is beautiful, and I would definitely like to return when I have more time!

I let my better half choose between FIA and the Sloan. She chose FIA. They had a lot of good exhibits, and look to have a couple of new temporary exhibits ready here soon. Too bad I live in Nashville now so we can't see them. I just don't understand now why I, after being born and raised in Flint,... More

The FIA has a wonderful gallery. They also have a gift shop full of cool gifts for children and art lovers. I haven't tried the Cafe but it is always busy. Seating was also limited when I last went to the cafe. The FIA offers classes and summer programs as well as special events. My favorite events include the First... More

The art exhibits are great- Saturdays are free. Kids enjoy and it is very educational. July art fair is awesome.

FIA is an excellent museum for a city the size of Flint. A GEM! The museum continues to have great traveling exhibits.

For a small town, the activities and exhibits are top notch. Not to be missed. Much of what you see is free.

While the Detroit Institute gets a lot of press, we have, in Flint, a very good Art Institute. Many displays that are kept year round and several rotating attractions. A visit to the Sloan across the street then over the FIA after is a great way to spend a rainy, snowy or any Saturday. We visit about 4 times a... More

This is a gem. Wonderful collections of Native, African, and American art works well presented in a very functional Gallery. Easy access from the highway. If you are in the area this is a worthwhile place to visit.
