way out of place on this campus. All the buildings are brick and mortar, this sticks out like the ugly duckling. Even the faculty I have talked to feel it is the ugliest building on campus. Inside it is worth the stop.

The new Broad Museum has interesting shows of adult nature. Some exhibits are disturbing to several senses. However, the first Saturday of every month, the museum hosts a free workshop for youngsters! It is great! The kids have loads of different expressions of creativity to...More

You have to have an open mind if you want to call this an art museum. I think by definition, an "art museum" is a "Building full of art." But is this art? I don't know. Some might say, particularly University of Michigan fans, "If...More

We came to the art museum on a hot day and enjoyed the variety of modern art! Some of the pieces were really unusual, but that was the point of the current collection- keep an eye out for the elephant in the room!

The story behind the museum is remarkable and the personal collection of Mr and Mrs Broad is most interesting. Well worth a visit. Parking close to campus is very difficult.

Interesting but very odd art. Crickets in a tent. What appears to be a bar of soap but is in fact fat sucked out of a Italian Prime Minister. Talking water spigits. Did love the hanging elephant.

The architect Zaha Hadid created a wonderful piece of modern art on this traditional looking campus of MSU. We walked around the building at night when the museum was closed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Then the next day we went inside. The special collection...More

It is free. There is a donation box for if you would like to make a contribution, but they don't force you to make a contribution. Being a student with no money - I didn't.
