We had a great time, we didn't plan ahead so we didn't know what to expect. We opted for tubing although we could have rented kayaks or rafts. The water is cold but felt good on a hot day. We had two adults and two 11 year old boys. One child lost their tube and a shoe. We finally got... More

This river is a fun even flowing river with bends and turns. It does have some overgrowth along the river banks. That is to be expected in a natural area such as the Jordan Valley! Don't forget to bring along some snacks and a waterproof camera! Please pack out your trash! Keep this wonderful Natural area clean!

My family and I had a wonderful time paddling down this beautiful river. We rented tubes, kayaks and a raft from Jordan River Outfitters in East Jordan. (New owners since 2015) Two of the kids in tubes, 8 and 13, laughed the whole way during our 2 hour trip. Older kids and adults were in kayaks, while 5 adults were... More

The locals, me included are very helpful to out of towners... All we ask is you don't pollute our water and you leave the wildlife alone. Fishing is excellent and its beauty will leave a mark on your memory.

The Jordan River is very scenic and uncrowded compared to the bumper to bumper raft traffic on a typical whitewater raft trip on a western river. We had a very enjoyable day as a family rafting from Graves Crossing (there are actual graves under the road- look up local history). We saw lots of birds and deer, coyote tracks but... More

River Jordan, at least the bit we've visited, is way less biblical than it may seem. We opted for kayaking on it and it was cheap and great fun, though the river was quite calm, so we had to paddle a lot. There's a bus that comes and pick you up on the lower part of the river and brings... More

Great river to kayak down, however be careful bringing your own tubes down the river. Two of ours got caught on branches and popped. I heard if you rent a tube those are much more sturdy. We got stranded on someone's deck but the lady was extremely helpful and drove us back to our car. Scary moment but made for... More

I've lived in Boyne City my whole life and have kayaked both the Jordan and Boyne Rivers. The Boyne River is more for beginners where the Jordan River is for more experienced/adventurous. The Jordan River does have a section between drop/pick up points that is easy in my opinion. Though the easiest is after Rogers Rd to into East Jordan.... More
