I love going to Eastern Market. You can always get great bargains on fresh food. Parking can be a problem, especially on special days like Flower Day. There are a lot of businesses around the sheds that are worth a visit. I love the spice shop and Germacks! Wear sensible shoes because you will walk a lot, and remember to... More

My family and I enjoyed our trip here, though I admit it would have been a lot more enjoyable in the summer rather than the winter! I would definitely recommend a visit. Bring plenty of singles and fives!

Need produce?? This is the place. Even in winter. All the fruits, vegetables and assorted "stuff". Definitely a must go to on Saturday. 3 different sheds to walk through and in spring and summer 5. If you want it, they have it

Eastern Market is a vibrant place in Detroit. Small entrepreneurs. Local farmers. The Market shows Detroit's alive and kicking! Just stroll around. The energy of the people will grab you.

We really enjoyed talking with the many vendors at Eastern Market. Regardless of whether we purchased or not, they were keen to engage in conversation. What a fun mix of merchants, farmers and entrepreneurs from across the greater Detroit region. So much energy at the Eastern Market!

I didn't know what to expect when we decided to go here, but we had heard that it was worth the trip. That is an understatement. This is the largest Farmers Market that I have ever been to. There is a huge selection and it is surrounded by a Commission Row of produce and butcher establishments. All the booths had... More

This is such a great activity to go to the Eastern Market. An open air market with so many vendors with fresh flowers and plans. The diversity and people watching is a high light. The stores and shops surrounding the market make it an additionally great stop. It was on my bucket list for years. I am so glad I... More

So many reasons for both locals and visitors to visit Eastern Market. The market itself -- hopping on Saturdays and active on Tuesdays -- is a great open-air gathering place for fresh produce, breads, meats, cheeses, seafood and so many more, many of which are grown by urban farmers growing crops in the city. But the market proper is only... More
