The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a fully automated light rail system that operates on an elevated single-track loop in Detroit's central business district. Launched in 1987, the system’s 13 stations provide quick connections between the courts and administrative offices of several levels of government, sports arenas, exhibition centers, major hotels, and commercial, banking and retail districts. Service is frequent and unencumbered by vehicle or pedestrian traffic, and at just 75 cents per ride, it’s the best bargain in town!

Cheap, clean, and mostly empty during non sporting events. Takes you around downtown, round and round but does not connect to any other parts of the city, but for the cost it is a good way to get around downtown Detroit

We loved having the people mover to get around the city so we weren't always looking for parking. Our hotel had a station in the building. It took us to the Baseball park and to Greektown. Downside is no heating or air conditioning. It was...More

Having commuted on the Queen Street Streetcars in Toronto, I can't complain. I used it to go from a central hotel to the Joe Louis arena and although kind of roundabout it was simple enough, cheap, and gave a bit of a view along the...More

The closest stop to Comerica Park is Grand Circus Park. You can then walk Northeast down Witherell to the park. It's a couple of blocks.
