It's just another bridge. There are lots of bigger, taller, cooler bridges around, so don't get all excited about this one. And it takes you to Canada and the great hassle of customs.

it is always a bottle neck. this time it was worse because the tunnel is closed for a week. They misplace the cones sometimes and the lines are not clear. they need to repaint. 5. dollars now to cross. maybe that will change too.

The ambassador Bridge is the only Bridge to cross at Detroit. Has large amounts of trucks and can get lined up for a long time. Be prepared for wait times during the day and early evenings. A good option is the tunnel downtown for cars,...More

I guess "old whatz his name" is more interested in keeping his money rather than modernizing the bridge. There is constant trivial construction projects, mostly patching the patches, which shuts down a lane either in one or in both directions, causing considerable delays. Plus this...More

While sitting in the park we watched the cars go across the bridge from Canada to the US. There are also a few people that fish under the bridge. We did not use the bridge to cross over into the states because we were using...More

I hate taking the bridge. First off it's more expensive than the tunnel and it's also in really bad shape. I guess there is none of that billionaire money left over to fix things that don't work... anyway, the staff and CBP there are very...More

In between dodging trucks and there was plenty of them going both ways you got time to look at the view it was great. When they finish the road works they are doing it might be a little less hectic.

Traveling into Canada for a long weekend family visit (coming from different directions) we all crossed the Ambassador Bridge. Our first approach to it was in the dark of the night (around 9:00 pm) and the lights from the bridge were striking as we approached....More

Glad we took the time to cross into the USA from this location. The view from the bridge was fabulous and enjoyable. We didn't realize the Yankees were playing in town against the Tigers that night so little bit of wait at the border with...More

The best place will be any of the public parking along the Canadian/ Windsor side of the river along Riverside drive. There are plenty parking spaces and most of them are free.
